Established In 1907
Liberty Insurance Agency was founded in 1907 in Liberty, Mississippi. The agency has had three major owners since its inception, with Thomas Lewis being the owner since 1990. Matthew Lewis joined the agency in 2013. Liberty Insurance Agency purchased The Adams Agency which was founded in 1917, and has merged agencies with over 200 years of combined experience serving Liberty, Gloster, and Southwest Mississippi. Liberty Insurance Agency partnered with SouthGroup in 2021.
We take an active role in the community by participating in the Liberty Chamber of Commerce, Amite County Exchange Club, and other civic organizations.
We are also active in the insurance industry as a member of the Independent Insurance Agents of Mississippi. Presently, Matthew Lewis is a board member of the association.
The agency provides all lines of personal and commercial property and casualty insurance.
