Our Madison Plaza location, formerly the Galey Agency, was founded in 1920. With over 180 years of combined experience in the insurance business, members of the staff hold such professional designations as Certified Insurance Counselor, Certified Property and Casualty Underwriter, Certified Professional Insurance Women, Certified Insurance Service Representative, Chartered Life Underwriter, and Professional Workers Compensation Account Manager.

This location has played an important role in state and community development. Our staff members have served as past presidents of the Hattiesburg Area Chamber of Commerce, Forrest County Industrial Development Board, The Area Development Partnership, the Hattiesburg Area Education Foundation, Forrest-Lamar United Way, Southeast Mississippi YMCA and the Hattiesburg Public School Board. They have provided leadership on several boards including the Mississippi Department of Economic Development, Mississippi Baptist Convention, United Methodist Senior Services, Mississippi Fellowship of Christian Athletes, the City of Hattiesburg Civil Service Commission, Hattiesburg Parks and Recreation, Hattiesburg Rotary Club, Hattiesburg Civitan Club, South Central Chapter of the American Red Cross and the Board of Trustmark National Bank.

Our participation in the insurance industry has resulted in two past presidents of the Independent Insurance Agents of Mississippi, two recipients of the coveted J.H. Johnson Memorial Award given for distinguished service to the insurance industry, a member of the Technical Conference Committee serving for over 25 years, a State National Director of the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of America, a member of the National Board for the Society of Certified Insurance Counselors, four presidents of the Hattiesburg Area Association of Insurance Women, and a member of the National Faculty of Certified Insurance Counselors.

In addition to providing risk management, general insurance and bonds, we have developed a special expertise with contractors, public entities (schools, libraries and political subdivisions), churches, small businesses and manufacturers.

Our Hardy Street location, formerly Montague, Sigler & Ferrell, was founded in 1893.

Serving the Hattiesburg community, Managing Principal, Johnny Ferrell, has served as past President of Hattiesburg Sertoma and Past Chairman of the local American Cancer Society. He has also been involved in the insurance industry serving as Past Chairman of the Young Agents Association of the Independent Insurance Agents of Mississippi.

Jim Ford, Principal and Agent, has served the community as Past President of the Collins, Mississippi Rotary Club, a member of the Leadership Class of Covington County, Chairman of the Okatoma Festival 5-K, Treasurer of Willow Grove Baptist Church, and a member and Finance Chair of Covington County Chamber of Commerce. He has been involved with the insurance industry by serving as Past President of Southeast Area Independent Insurance Agents of Mississippi and has been awarded the G.V. “Sonny” Montgomery Scholarship from the Independent Insurance Agents of Mississippi.

Jim Morgan, Principal and Agent, has served the community as Past Secretary/Treasurer of Hattiesburg Kiwanis Club, where he has been a member for 40 years. He is also a member of the Hattiesburg Civic Association and a member of First Baptist Church in Hattiesburg. He avidly supports the University of Southern Mississippi as a member of the USM Alumni Association, the USM Eagle Club and the USM Dugout Club. He has served the insurance industry as past President of the Professional Insurance Agents Association of Mississippi, where he was named Agent of Year. He is currently serving as President of Southeast Area Independent Insurance Agents of Mississippi.

Gates Goza, Principal and Agent, has served as a past National Advisor for the Board of the American Rental Association.
